Question by : How to get rid of Yellow Jackets in vent outside house and inside walls?
YIKES!! We have had yellow jackets flying in and out of a vent outside of your kitchen window — we’re not sure where this vent goes to. We have sprayed/used (TWICE now) 20 foot bee/wasp killer into the vent, but they’re back and double the amount. PLUS…I looked up at the light over the kitchen sink…lo and behold it was full of dead wasps and living ones! This is getting scary! What should we do? How do you know if they’re in your walls? One of us is very allergic, and the whole situation is bothersome, nonetheless!
Thank you so much!
Thank you all very much for taking the time to respond. I appreciate your answers!
Well, my husband has insisted on trying to kill them one more time with another type of wasp/hornet spray. So far…they’ve disappeared. BUT…you are all right! And, I told him that if it didn’t work this time, I am calling a professional? ;-D (Keeping fingers crossed!)

Call a professional exterminator and have them deal with the Yellow Jackets. Its safer for you and while it may be expensive, they are trained for just this sort of problem.

i’d have to agree get pest control. those suckers are nasty you really don’t want to mess with them.
the best and only real solution to your problem is to call the pest control company. They will come over and fog them out of their home while you wait outside. Pest control comes to the apartment complex I live in all the time.
