Question by sikpuppy: I have many wasps in my yard, a lot of foilage and a swimming pool. How to get rid of them and keep the others?
They don’t bother me, but my wife is allergic to their venom (or whatever wasp juice is called)
They may be yellowjackets or hornets, I’m not sure. I live in Phoenix.

We had that same problem, same circumstances. I decided my brain was bigger than theirs and followed them “home”. It wasn’t easy as I lost a few before I found where they nested. At night, hoping they were all home and not hiking in the Appalachians some where, I sprayed the nest pretty good. Had to do that a few times and we rarely see them anymore. I also scouted the roof lines and found a few nests that way and did the same. Good luck. Remember, you are smarter than an insect…just encouragement.

Ice spray is suppose to work well against wasps and is quite environment friendly. See sources for a walk through of how to apply it safely.
